What is Tarion?
Tarion is a consumer protection organization established by the Ontario government to administer the province’s new home warranty program. By law, all new homes built in Ontario are provided with a warranty by the builder. Tarion’s role is to ensure that buyers of these homes receive the coverage they are entitled to under their builder’s warranty.
Annual homeowner survey
Every year, Tarion conducts a large-scale survey of the previous year’s purchasers in Ontario. This research compiles homeowners’ overall impressions and satisfaction with their overall experience of buying a new home.
