History Repeats Itself With Successful Sales At Tricar’s River Mill Condos

Sep 23, 2014

In less than three months, Guelph’s next address of distinction, River Mill, has reached 60 per cent in sales and is fully under construction! Its sister condo residence, River House, is completing final construction and residents are expected to move in before the Christmas holidays.

It comes as no surprise that The Tricar Group is at the helm of BOTH projects while also leading a resurgence in the renewal of downtown Guelph. These luxury, high-rise residences that will forever change the city’s skyline have been met by overwhelming public appeal, huge sales and a stamp of approval from the municipality and the business community in Guelph.

Those that waited too long and missed the opportunity to get on board with River House in 2012, were at front of the line for River Mill, explains Adam Carapella, Vice-President of Tricar. “Suites at River House sold out in just seven months, so before history repeated itself, purchasers stepped up so they wouldn’t miss out again.”

Rather than wait for sales to reach the 75 per cent mark as is the norm for condo construction, Tricar was confident in the marketplace and began construction on River Mill immediately after the official groundbreaking in May.

In a business where experience matters, Tricar has been specializing in luxury condominium living and high-rise development and construction for more than 30 years. Tricar was recently awarded TARIONS’s 2014 Ontario High-Rise Builder of the Year, which recognizes builders for outstanding achievement in customer service. Tricar is the first southwestern Ontario builder to receive this award. With River Mill and River House, Tricar showcases those efforts admirably.

Playing a major role in downtown renewal, Tricar is drawing residents into the area while also taking part in another progressive project. River Mill will be the first residential building in Guelph to be heated and cooled by a shared energy network that will one day supply much of the city's heating and cooling needs. Galt District Energy System is a central system providing heating, hot water, and air-conditioning. River Mill joins the Sleeman Centre and River Run Centre which have already hooked in and will share energy through an underground network of pipes.

The top three floors of River Mill have been dedicated to its exclusive penthouses. The Sky Series is on the 16th and 17th floors and has just been released to meet market demand. The two suites on the 18th floor were released and sold immediately. With larger square footage, larger terraces, higher ceilings and incredible views, the Sky Suites have been hot commodities. They are priced from $550,000 to just over $700,000. There is still an extensive selection of suites available at River Mill ranging from one-, two- bedroom + den designs, with exceptional living spaces and the finest amenities. Pricing starts from the mid $200s.

Situated on Wellington Street, just south of Macdonell, River Mill is mere steps from transit, downtown shopping, dining, entertainment and of course the walking trails along Speed River. This building location is one of only five sites slated in the downtown core for high-rise condominiums adding to the prestige and exclusivity of River Mill.
